Yves Leterme’s New Site

— Sigh — That is my response after browsing through Yves Leterme’s recently updated website. It’s gorgeous, his work is awesome, will my letters ever be that fluid? Those Belgians!

Incidentially, Prince Philippe of Belgium is planning a visit to British Columbia – today, I wrote his name in the Province’s Distinguished Visitor’s Book. Very formal, somewhat stiff, very appropriate. I suppose the Prince is familiar with the beautiful work coming out of his own country. Seems we Canadians have some catching up to do!

Hi Alice;

This is a stunning website! YES... the work of Yves Leterme is so graceful and often very surprising in its design, colours and execution. Last summer I was very lucky to take two classes from Yves at Island Magic Calligraphy Conference. He is a very fine teacher and person. His forte is expressive writing - he is just a master!

I am in complete agreement with your response to seeing Mr. Leterme's work. Oh my... as one of his pieces says "There are not words to describe the beauty" (not word for word, but you get the idea, right?!?) Thank you so much for linking to his updated site... what a treat!
